MEASUREMENT DIAGRAMS / INSTRUCTIONS WORK SHEET:

Measurements must be precise. Sloppy measurements will mean a sloppy fit. First, measure around the trunk of the body. Take each measurement over normal clothes and be sure to keep the tape snug but not tight.

Measure the following:

1. Neck - at the base.
2.Chest - around at the breast - keep the tape horizontal.
3. Measure the waist.
4. The hips (at the bulge).

Measure the length of the following:

1. Nape of neck to the chest.
2. Nape of neck to the waist.
3. Nape of neck to the bulge of the hips.
4. Nape of the neck to the bend of the knees

Measurements for the arm.

 1. The first measurement is the sleeve length.
Raise the arm horizontal to the floor. Bend the forearm 90 degrees at the elbow. Measure from the nape of the neck, around the elbow to the wrist.
2. A bicep measurement is also needed. Make a muscle and measure around the bicep.
3. Measure around the wrist.
