By far this is our most popular tuning. This flute has
a beautiful tone that can be used for solo performances or can
be combined with other instruments to create a unique ensemble.

Named for it’s sheer size, this flute is for those
of you who love the deep haunting sound that a big flute can
produce. It has an outside diameter of 1 and 9/16" and is
24 and ½" in length. Please note that because of
it’s size, in both diameter and length, a person should
take into consideration the longer hole placement and arm extension
when ordering this style. Naturally this comes with a Buffalo
effigy block. |

For those of you who would like to have something really
unique. This is it! Two separate flutes are built into the same
block of wood. Only one side has finger holes, the other side
serves as a drone note, (similar to the concept of bagpipes).
The mouthpiece has two separate blow holes so the side with the
holes can be played independently or together to add harmony.
Standard block for this flute is the Waterfowl effigy. Overall
length on this one is approximately 23". |

designs which are carved into the end of the flute. Custom

HARD FLUTE CASES
For maximum protection of your flute(s),
we strongly suggest one of our hard cases that have a PVC liner,
draw string closure and an adjustable shoulder strap. Currently
we are offering this in basic black, but ask about any other
colors that may be available.

All of our flutes are crafted out of Western Red Cedar. Hardwood
flutes are also available by special request. Please feel free
to call for pricing. All of the blocks are cut from either Walnut
or Cherry.
Soft cases come standard with all flutes. However,
these offer only minimal protection.
For maximum protection of your flute(s), we strongly suggest
one of our hard cases that have a PVC liner, draw string closure
and an adjustable shoulder strap. Currently we are offering this
in basic black, but ask about any other colors that may be available.
A standard feature on all flutes is the waxed linen wraps
which represents the traditional Buckskin thongs that along with
tree pitch once held the two halves of the flute together.
The instructional booklet included shows in clear and
straight forward terms the basic playing skills and care of the
flute. Winds Quiet Sound flutes are easy to play without complicated
fingering patterns or mouth positions.
All flutes are numbered, dated and signed on the inside.
